The affluent Athenian suburbs of Psychiko and Filothei are a treasure trove of 1960s modernism. We designed this low-rise residential complex with these inconspicuous Athenian landmarks as a reference. Wide verandas, exposed concrete, wooden cladding and liberal use of Greek marble are all typical of the Athenian modernist movement. While the exterior is an homage to this golden age of Greek architecture, the floor plans of the three very large and three much smaller apartments reflect the needs of 21st century living.
