athens loft
Athens, 2004 - 2019 revision
The district of Psyrri in downtown Athens was traditionally occupied by artisans and tradesmen. Converted from a tailor’s workshop, this loft retains the original open-plan layout (only the bathroom and bedroom are self-contained), but everything else was reimagined. Picture windows frame the city views, while an indoor deck brimming with greenery brings a flash of nature into the intensely urban surroundings. Brushed concrete floors and grey ceilings nod to the building’s industrial heritage, and provide a neutral canvas for the eclectic furnishings — a compelling synthesis of vivid patterns, tactile textures, and cosmopolitan influences.
