The location of this residence —a small, triangular plot on a busy road — posed a number of challenges. Our solution was to design an L-shaped house: one side adjoins the property’s boundary and the other overlooks the garden, which acts as a buffer from the street. The façade uses alternating materials on different levels, while the interior is an homage to one of our favourite natural materials: wood. Treated in a variety of applications, types, and textures, this residence shows how versatile and tactile wood can be.
