kite
athens, greece, 2025
The KITE COFFEE TABLE reinterprets the shape of a hexagon in a fluid spiral way by the usage of its wedge components.
The material used contradicts the lightness of its parti and ‘defies lightness”. Marble – as opposed to paper – gives stability and sturdiness to an everyday piece of furniture.
The colour scheme draws inspiration from the distinctive flooring of Gio Ponti’s Villa Planchart in Caracas. The table’s kite shaped form is supported at three points by rounded solid wooden elements.
MATERIALS: MARBLE ( RITSONA, CALIFORNIA, EVIA, RAJAHSTAN ) SOLID OAK WOOD
