The challenge was to build a swimming pool for a summer house on a steeply inclined slope, exposed to the strong Cycladic winds. We built a raised platform dug out of the hillside, surrounded by high stone walls to provide shelter and privacy. The use of local stone embeds the extension into the landscape.
